Website security is extremely important for any owner of an online resource. Hacks, malware attacks, and other cyber threats can lead to data loss, website downtime, reputation damage, and financial losses. Therefore, ensuring reliable protection is one of our main tasks.

We take a comprehensive approach to security, which includes a number of measures to protect our hosting servers and the web resources hosted on them. One of the key elements of this strategy is the proactive Guard website protection system.

Proactive Website Protection (Guard) on Hosting

On all of our hosting servers, we use our own proactive website protection system called Guard. This is a software module that runs in the background, analyzing server logs and tracking suspicious activity in real-time.

We inform: the main task of Guard is to prevent hacking or unwanted use of hosting resources by malicious actors. For this, it is able to recognize and block:

  • Numerous attempts to brute-force credentials through various protocols – HTTP, SSH, FTP.
  • Running known malicious scripts on the hosting.
  • Unwanted traffic from suspicious sources.
  • HTTP flood attacks – a large number of requests to the website over a short period.
  • Processes that consume excessive server resources (memory, CPU).

By default, the Guard system is enabled for all websites hosted on our platform, providing an additional layer of protection in the background.

However, in some cases, clients may wish to disable Guard for their website. This can be done in the hosting control panel, by going to the WWW Domains section and unchecking the Proactive Protection box in the properties of the desired domain.

How to enable/disable Proactive Website Protection on hosting.

Result of the protection system: in the site folder you can see scripts with the extension .suspended, for example script.suspended - it is important to carefully check such a file for malicious code. Or, if a large number of requests or password guessing attempts are made from certain IP addresses, IP blocking through the Blocklist service, the owner of the IP, may be applicable. address can always go to this resource and unlock it by entering the captcha. In case of additional problems, we recommend contacting Customer Support Service.

Important: after disabling Guard, your website will be less protected against potential attacks and hacks. Therefore, we recommend keeping this protection system enabled, disabling it only if there are compelling reasons. Guard’s operation does not require additional configuration and does not affect website performance.
